I just got the same charge and BofA canceled my debit card as a result. Thanks alot Road Runner! I’m about to head on vacation and I dont have a debit card now!

Thanks for posting this! I too got a mysterious charge on my card this month after buying shoes at Roadrunner a year ago. What a rip-off. I won’t patronize then again.

What a rip off. We too found a mysterious charge of $24.99 against our bank account listed as CHECKCARD RRS*SPORTSVIP YOU 800-901-9207 CA. And to add further insult our debit card had been canceled. After talking with our bank they recognized an unusual charge and canceled the card and are reissuing a new one. This alone points to the problem with RRS’s business model and the banks are now ‘getting it’. We will never ever enter that store again. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Thanks to all for the posts.

I also had a charge for $24.99 on the VIP auto renewal…I called the customer svc # for Road Runner Sports and spoke with a rep named Tracy. She was very friendly, and helpful. She refunded the money without any hesitation. I also treated her respectfully and kept in mind that she wasn’t the reason the charge was there, but that she would be the person to help reverse it! =) be kind, and they’ll be kind back!
